What is a cock ring?

The term "cock ring" has grown to include a wide variety of devices that encompass and/or restrict the cock and balls. There are two basic types of cock rings, functional and ornamental.

A functional cock ring is an object that typically goes around the base of both the penis and scrotum and assists in helping a male maintain an erection. Since veins are closer to the surface of the skin than arteries, this has the effect of allowing blood to flow into the penis but restricts its ability to flow out-wards. How do I put on a cock ring?

Pull the scrotal skin through the ring.
Follow this by popping the balls through.

What size cock ring is right for me?

Most cock rings are made of chromed steel or rubber. They have to be chosen carefully, sized for the user. To find the diameter of a snug-fitting ring, measure the distance around the cock and balls (at the base, behind the scrotum), and then divide by 3.1. Don't go smaller than that-- you don't want to get stuck. As an example, assume the circumference of your cock and balls behind your scrotum is 6 inches. Dividing 6 / 3.1 = 1.93 inches. Therefor, you would not want to purchase a cock ring with a diameter of less that 1.9 inches.
