Silicone is hygienic. No open pours to harbor bacteria.
Silicone is hypoallergenic. It has no reaction to chemistry of the body, 100% silicone toys are completely inert. They don’t alter pH balance, or cause a reaction to the body’s natural chemistry.
Silicone is phthalate free. You can recognize a toy with phthalates by the smell (if you can smell a toy, it is leaching chemicals). Toys made of “jelly" and other mystery materials use phthalates as plasticizers to soften an otherwise hard material. Most bodies react to phthalates as an allergy. With inflammation, rashes and discharge—mimicking a yeast infection. Phthalates are also considered endocrine disruptors; they interfere with normal animal hormonal systems effectively supplementing a person’s estrogen at low levels.
